26PRODUCTVERSION Beside other stuff it is used together with 27 the "buildid" (main/solenv/inc/minor.mk) to 28 create the ProductVersion property for 29 Microsoft Windows - "major.minor.build". 30 Note: major = [0..255], minor = [0..255], 31 build = [0..65535] 32 It is expected that PRODUCTVERSION follows 33 one of the following patterns: 34 (1) single decimal - e.g. "3" 35 (2) dec. dot dec. - e.g. "3.4" 36 (3) dec. dot dec. dot dec. - e.g. "3.4.1" 37 The first decimal is put into "major". 38 The second decimal is concatenated with the third 39 and is put into "minor". 40 E.g. "3.4.1" becomes "3.41.[buildid]" 41 The ProductVersion property is used during 42 the Windows installation to check, if a 43 newer or older version is already installed. 44 45LIBRARYVERSION Together with "buildid" and "vendornumber" 46 it becomes the version of the installation 47 files 48 |
